Feed on the floor is money on the floor. Small pan errors add up across a flock. I track feed per bird to prove the fix.
I found feed per bird creeping and traced it to a pan set a half inch low. The floor told the story.
Waste shows on the floor and in the cost per bird.
Feed per bird trend reveals waste.
A half inch saved real money across the flock.
Reduce feed wastage by setting pan height and fill correctly, repairing leaky augers, and comparing feed per bird across flocks. Poultry Log™ shows feed cost per bird so a waste spike is obvious and the fix pays back fast.
Paper and spreadsheets can store broiler feed wastage data, but they rarely show which house, flock, or expense is actually costing money.
